the frustrating thing about musicbrainz (and Plex's strict reliance it), is that any old jackass can go in and modify an existing "Album" incorrectly to "Album + Compilation + Live" and totally screw up my library, and then I have to log on to the site and make an argument for why this is wrong and hope that some other editors review and vote my way to revert the edit back to its original categorization.

started using 1Password again recently because my work now uses it and that means I get a free Family account, but it is bonkers how often the app and the browser extensions get out of sync. Not sure it's worth the headache over my self-hosted Vaultwarden/Bitwarden

it's hilarious to go down the rabbit hole of researching "PKM" apps because every blog post is just someone definitively stating why they moved all their notes to X app and then 3 weeks later why they moved back to Y app.

been using iBroadcast as my primary music player for the last week+ and I'm really liking it. it's not self-hosted and it's an annual subscription, but I find the usability of it and browsing my library to be faster and more enjoyable than navidrome (hate that pagination).
