My ente photos storage completely filled up and I can't back up my photos now. I could use syncthing to back up my photos to my PC but my PC isn't reliable at all and me using a VPN on my phone 24/7 just makes it not an viable option for me. My PC keeps breaking itself for some stupid reason and I can't risk my photos. What should I do? Can y'all recommend some options for me? Maybe I can create a new ente photos account with a new mail. Does that even work? I want something end-to-end encrypted and privacy respecting. I really like ente but I can't afford to buy a ente subscription :(

Ich fürchte für Fotos geht das mit #Ente, auch wenn es nicht super-performant ist.
Aber man sieht die kleinen Schritte, die sie machen und wie es langsam aber kontinuierlich besser wird.
Das Entscheidende für mich ist: Ich habe ein gutes Gefühl, dass die Fotos da sicher vor irgendwelcher Ausspähung und Weiternutzung sind.

I really wish the #Dexcom #G7 app had an option to disable auto-lock while the app is in the foreground, like #Ente does. It would be helpful while driving, taking an exam, or just generally while #hypoglycemic and monitoring for a rise in BG.

Gibt es eine gute Foto App, die meine Handyfotos automatisch hochlädt, bei der man definieren kann, was hochgeladen werden soll? zB ab wann.
Ich habs mal mit #Ente versucht, leider will sie immer komplett ALLE Fotos auf meinen Handy synchronisieren.

I have the money and will to set up a #selfhost a server (like #Ente or #Immich or #Yunohost ) but I lack the time to research and do it. Or rather, I am paralyzed by the sheer number of choices to select a server, storage and even domain name registrar.

Earlier I would have simply looked at the cost and made a decision. Now I have other factors to think like how sovereign, secure and reliable these are in the long term. Thank you 2020s geopolitics for this added anxiety :blobcat_thisisfine:
