I just started converting my #Obsidian notes (md) into static websites using #mkdocs_material https://squidfunk.github.io/mkdocs-material/.
It works quite well.

I'll tell you how it's made

I'm thinking of switching from #logseq to #obsidian for notetaking.
On the one hand I love Logseq and used it for years. On the other hand its development is not very transparent. They are developing a Database version, which I'm unsure about. It is promised to be faster and still hast Markdown Sync, but I'm afraid it will lose that at some point.
With obsidian I heard only great things about it. I like the idea of writing free form text instead of the outliner.
Also it's more mature.
I'm gonna McFucking lose it man. All these escaped characters and extra commands because #Obsidian vim mode uses codemirror in a very poorly documented manner.
All this so I can to trigger a custom checkbox status with a shortcut
The visual mode one doesn't even fully do what I want and ends in visual mode!
راهی برای همگامسازی #Obsidian توی موبایل و دسکتاپ میشناسید ؟
با افزونه Remotely Save امتحان کردم ولی قابلیت دوطرفهاش کار نمیکنه .
#Obsidian Bases is such a power tool. As a part of my note-taking around writing and #maker stuff, I also keep track of electronic components, their data sheets, and other notes. Using Bases to pull these notes together is fantastic!
The fact that it's all ultimately Markdown and YAML front matter is one of the most comforting things about putting my data in this format.
Seems like this #Obsidian plugin is gaining traction quick. I forgot about it but will check it out again soon. Will take a bit of getting used to I think. #notebooknavigator

today I installed #debian on my main machine, but installing #obsidian was such a pain that I'll install #archlinux again. I'm already curious about the "new" installation script.
Which distro do you rock & why?
I was also thinking about giving #fedora a chance, but as Fedora is basically #redhat and #IBM owns RedHat and IBM has a sketchy WWII history (okay I'm reaching here but yeah), the thought of having debian or arch installed on my machine just feels better ...
EDIT: added paragrafs

I’m finally down to a single template with every property I need, which greatly simplifies the process of creating #Obsidian Bases tables. 🫣 What about enough screen space for taking notes? https://youtu.be/vOFIWJ7sYGk
@RxBrad Love #Obsidian for my needs. It syncs well via #selfhosted engine and all the mobile and desktop clients work with no issues.
Hope you like it!
Hi!
I've been stuck in a cycle of constantly switching note-taking apps.
Here's how I finally broke free.
Why is Obsidian Sync on Android so slow?
On my phone, the log consistently shows a successful connection and then three minutes of nothing before it finally starts to sync data.
If I start trying to use the app before it's done with the sync, its behavior is unpredictable. The name of my new note might disappear or the note itself might jump to a random folder and close.
That's kind of shitty for a Notes App when you are trying to write down a sudden thought before it passes.
I'm trying to learn more about how to use Obsidian.
I'm coming to the conclusion that it's actually a cult trying to indoctrinate people into creating convoluted linked spaghetti diagrams.
Folders have always been where it's at.
