We by Yevgeny Zamyatin was the last book of 2025. I'm one of the weird ones who read 'We' before reading '1984'. I might not read 1984. Idk why, maybe only because it's too popular, I feel like I won't like it.
We had an interesting concept, a good story and a sad ending. D503, a citizen of the One State becomes ill with the 'Soul sickness'. He falls for a rebel. Sometimes, it felt as though D-503 was trying to brainwash me or smth. Good read.

I finished reading Night Shift by Stephen King. I have mixed opinions on this one. Some of the stories were soo bad that they were actually good. I had to ask myself 'wtf did I just read' after I read 'The Lawnmower Man' and it's not because it was scary. But others like Gray Matter, Quitters inc were pretty good.
I have two more books to finish before the end of this year.

I'm done reading The Hobbit. Maybe I expected a little more than I should have. It didn't convince me to read Lord of the rings. It was a really good book either way. At 50% mark, I started reading another better book alongside and got invested in it and took a long time to finish this. That ruined the experience a little.The ending got me emotional. I should reread it someday in the future.
I have three more books I want to finish before the end of this year.

@KaCi I looovve King. Despite all the disturbing shite that happens in his books, idk why, but I find warmth in his writing.

I posted this two days ago, then disappeared because the internet stopped due to heavy rain.
My tent flooded,
and I couldn’t keep my children warm or dry our belongings. I spent the day moving from place to place, escaping the water.🥺💔
What hurts most is that when I came back, I found no donations ! 💔
Have we become used to this? Is it normal for children to live in cold and water?😭
