#UCL #SSEES doctoral student Olga Doletskaya will address this question in their talk on Monday (29 April) at 11 AM (BST). Join us as usual in person or online.

Georgia's ruling party revealed the details of their anti-LGBTQI+ bill. It targets everything from freedom of expression to adoptions and gender-affirming healthcare. Imagine what they could achieve if they were spending this much energy on tackling poverty or other real issues the country faces.

#Georgia's ruling party revealed yesterday that they're drafting a bill meant to protect society from the "pseudo-liberal ideology" and "propaganda of non-traditional lifestyles".

They withdrew their "foreign agents" bill last year following large-scale protests, but #LGBTQI+ people are an easier target.

This is just another attempt to stoke up and exploit anti-#queer sentiments for political gains: parliamentary elections are scheduled for October.
