I have a question especially for screen reader users: Let's say you're on a site of a newspaper. On the homepage there are 100+ article teasers, organised by type (regional, politics, economy, etc.). Would you prefer that each teaser has a heading (h3) and each category (h2) or only the categories (h2)?

On July 2, I will be at the #DWX2025 in Mannheim! 🎙️

I'm glad to see so many women in my track, even though the total share of women among the speakers is only 16%.

Once again, I will be on stage talking about the impact of #accessibility overlays on the #usability and #UserExperience of people with permanent visual impairments.

Hope to see you there!

In case you were wondering, the chances of my cousin and brother-in-law getting married to their significant others on the same day in late 2026 (!) are 100% 🥴

Any advice or ideas on how to attend both festivities? At least they are in the same country 🤡

Staying at my parents' place for a week, and I can't get any work done without this "Do Not Disturb!!!" sign on my door. Yes, the triple exclamation is a must.

My parents also mostly work from home, but their idea of it is very different from mine. Yet, my generation is called lazy 🤷‍♀️

Christina Uhl is sharing accessibility improvements for very important infographics about someone who was dear to the hearts of all Austrian residents 👀

@parideis displayed the current state of AI image descriptions. Very interesting to see how different the tools interpret the same image!

He concludes that AI can be used as a tool to create image descriptions but only when using it responsibly.

Hannah Wahl on how #Allyship works.

1) Power sharing, meaning consciously giving up power, valuing and rewarding expertise & putting people with disabilities in key roles

2) Sharing access, not only in the field of inclusion

3) Continuous further training by listening to people with disabilities
