I’ve decided to go back into Ukraine to keep reporting.

I spent the last 10 days deep inside the trans Himalayan mountain ranges of Ladakh, India, at over 4000m elevation to look for the Ghost of the Mountain: Snow Leopards.

The region is a dry cold desert, with less snow than you’d expect in March. This means photographs like this one are possible, with the elusive creature traversing one of the slopes that has been coloured deep red and purple by the high iron content in the ground. #snowleopard #ladakh #wildlife #leopard #mountains #himalayas

Finally a starry night here on Waiheke. I took a few photographs, using a Pixel 6 and a tissue box as a makeshift tripod.

After three years this Kickstarter arrived. Among other things, a reminder of the world that froze beneath a pandemic, time that stopped, and value of ephemera we held. Those things we thought that mattered.

When Bela put together his first bluegrass project in many years he called on the best of both his generation and the younger players. Molly, Sierra and Billy are all amazing talents who can hang tough with some of the best to ever do it.
