I wasn't sure which language to select for the previous message, because it's in a mix. I picked German because I hoped it might be seen by German speakers. But I didn't try to write in German because any German speaker on the internet probably understands English better than I can write in German?
The internet is in English, Chinese, Russian, and Arabic, a Romanized mix of Hindi and Urdu, and maybe French and Spanish?
Even the French last few are usually on platforms that are in English? The borderline one is Arabic, there aren't many platforms but there are hardly any English comments on YouTube videos in Arabic, whereas for the other languages there's usually a mix
By the way, for English speakers on the internet who are sick of U.S. American news and politics and opinions: India exists and speaks English and has plenty of news and TV in English, or mostly English. I recommend #NewsLaundry #TheWire and a few others.
There are a billion and a half people who speak dozens of languages, so they often speak English to each other. Especially Southern India, who seem to like speaking Hindi about as much as the stereotypical French person likes dosing English.
There's a few other English speaking parts of the world that never show up in my recommendations, like South Africa and isle of Mann... I like listening to Manx Radio sometimes, and I only realised it existed by trying to work out what this flag emoji was 🇮🇲
