@deckerrj05 to better answer your question 'Why Mint?' I originally used open suspension but the wireless drivers crashed and I wanted to have something easy to start with. My main purpose is coding.

@deckerrj05 Thought about buying a System76 but they want way too much money for what it is. I ended up getting a Lenovo Thinkpad for half the price and that is my Win11 PC.. I already have a 8 year old Lenovo that the Windows 10 became slow and could not upgrade. I just made use of it. I put the entire GCC and it can run COBOL, FORTRAN, C, C++, and everything else open source.
