@raccoonformality I totally get that point of view. There are certainly current and potential aspects of it I don't like. That said, it will certainly have its hype cycle (I think we are in that now), but there will remain aspects of it in the future and I feel quite substantial ones, so for me I've decided to dig into the topic a bit, to get a better understanding. But to your point, as I learn more there are parts that certainly concern me.

@rom nice, I'm impressed with how well it can explain code. Helps when you are coming up to speed on a new code base.

First day in Tokyo , door to door travel time; 23hrs, but I know it will be worth it. Looking forward to exploring but also relaxing a bit.

Playing around with the new connect syntax in

It's a code snippet showing the old VS new way the "connect" function works in GDScript4, which is now a lot more concise and doesn't need magic strings.

@aeva lol, it is a bit barren in here. I've got a few living plants friends to bring up from the former house soon

New home closed today! Now the move to Washington state this weekend.

Imagine's Renegade work-in-progress graphics. I can't imagine nowadays any of the 300 coders team of any PS5 or Xbox game designing its graphics that way! 🙂

We had 17 alphas, 17 betas -- rumor has it we'll get to #Godot4 RC 17... I don't believe so, but we sure can have a third #GodotEngine build in a week with 4.0 RC 5!

There was a GDScript regression in yesterday's RC 4, now fixed, so no reason to wait.
