No, I removed the old ones. And the sound seems to be fine. For the next iteration I might use a softer yarn, though.

As I was searching for patterns for a crochet octopus for my last project, I also came across this one. In contrast to the cartoonish look of the previous one, I was intrigued by the naturalistic look, so I also had to try this one. And I must say I love it! ☺️

The basic pattern is this one: http://www.amyscrochetcave.com/2017/03/mini-octopus.html But the face is inspired by https://www.craftykittycrochet.com/2021/07/23/ice-cream-octopus-amigurumi-crochet-pattern/ . The small one is improvised, the head only 18sc circumference and w/o the final slst round around the arms. The yarn is 3mm braided cord from Bobbiny, I used a 6mm needle.

And done. After the first one, I had quite a bit of yarn left, so I decided to make it a small companion.

Usually, I'm not too keen on these crochet mini figures, because they lack detail. But with this thick cord as yarn, I think the result is quite interesting.
