Finished the bodice!
First time doing woven sewing of clothing for a long time. Also first time doing embroidery (although I have done a lot of cross-stitch)
Can't wait to try it on with proper foundation garments.

Why do elephants paint the soles of their feet yellow?
So they can float unseen, upside down in custard.
(I don't know why I find elephant jokes so funny, I am giggling to myself while writing this one and I have been telling it for over 50 years)
Kennt hier jemand gute Shops für Klett-patches? Kinky und queere Motive wären cool
The naked kitties are helping!
To be honest: I'm a little shocked how relatively little it takes, to climb that high in local and even global ranks.
I always assumed the top ranks are occupied by some ultra high-activity commercial mappers, group accounts etc., but this might be just a very thin layer on top.

okay but it would be absolutely hilarious if it managed to get permanently banned from the Meta Ad Library

You can change the font! They have three font choices! But you cannot change the size of the font.
Developers please stop thinking something works before you've hired disabled devs or paid good accessibility consultants to give you their expertise, because otherwise you're going to keep thinking "it works" means the same thing as "it works for me" and you're going to miss a lot of important shit that way.

teacher: "now, dear student, you will learn how to identify trees by their bark "
student: "but teacher, so often I see different kinds of bark on the same tree! "
teacher: "relax! we will begin with the easy trees, which seldom have more than four different kinds of bark on the same tree."
@elilla i mean, that little rope would be easy to add oneself... and maybe two metal buttons instead of the cloth ones.

Wir leben leider viel zu lange in einer #mannerwelt

This is the 100 year anniversary of humans having an idea of what the heck the sun and all the stars actually are. If you had asked a leading astronomer in 1925 what the sun was, they would say that it's basically the same as Earth, but very hot.
In Cecilia Payne's doctoral thesis she was the first to say, from spectral data, that the sun was overwhelmingly made of hydrogen and helium.
It was later described as "the most brilliant PhD thesis ever written in astronomy".
i love reading through a book from 1906 and coming across an entire chapter about charging stations for electric vehicles

“Creator, I have a request.”
“I’ve been expecting this. You want me to make you a wife.”
“Companion, if you please. Their gender and consent remain to be their choice.”
A few times in recent years I've seen various crafters/makers chortling over getting hands on a finely-wrought old card catalog cabinet from a library that had no further use for it; after stripping the brass rods from the drawers they were ecstatic to repurpose those heavy old oaken furniture pieces to store seed packets or woodworking hardware or whatnot.
I wonder now if I'll last long enough to see someone ecstatic to find an old card catalog that they can restore to its original purpose?
