Retro computing, mostly KIM-1 and clones like PAL-1
@mrdoornbos Sorry to not be able to follow you.
In Bad König, Westenwald, Germany, Matthias Schmitt and his wife have developed a museum dedicated to Technik called TECMUMAS. Mostly retro computers from the early days to the nineteens.
Here some photos of my visit in June 2025, when I was given the opportunity to see and photograph MOS Technology KIM-4 and KIM-5 devices and the Synertek MDT 1000.
Besides those systems TECMUMAS is home to about 1400 computers.

During a visit to the TECMUMAS museum I found a Synertek MDT 1000 development system. Only known to me from an advertisement in Electronics 1980.

Thanks to a tip by Stefano B., who found tape dumps of university archives I have added:
Compilers developed at the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam
– Pascal-U, 1977 derivate of the portable Pascal P2
– Pascal-VU, the ISO standard Pascal compiler 1979
– the Amsterdam Compiler Kit
I also added some personal information about my time at the VU
Stefano also traced the Pascal P3 compiler, 1976, missing link between Pascal P2 and P4
Some variants of Pascal-S are also found.

Retro archeology: found the sources etc of two early VU Pascal compilers! And the source of the P3 compiler. P2 and P4 are well known, P3 was thought to be lost.
Lots to update on my Pascal website the next days!
If for anyone the with -o3 Pico2 UF2 version di freeze then try the UF2 version compiled with -o2
Had this only with the compiled FRAROUND of the MBASIC version.
On the v4.5.2 of the Pico Cord I think it was also working with the -o3 version
@mrdoornbos RIP
Thanks to Paul Schroeter I have also published the SYM-2 Reference Manual.

Synertek SYM-1 and SYM-2 updates.
- Higher quality version of the Reference manual of the SYM-1, third edition.
-Recreated sources of the monitor ROM of SYM-1 1. and 1.1 and SYM-2 2.0

and
RC2040 Pico #RC2014 Z80 emulator https://extkits.co.uk/product/rc2040/
Now both compile under SDK2
Most issues fixed by using a later release of SDK2 (glad I waited for that one, rather than trying to fix the bleeding edge) and the serial port issue was a minor fix sent to me by a contributor (Thanks)
Other XK Pico kits to be SDK2'ed later...
@mrdoornbos So true: Use the tools that work for you! And move on to another if the tools is not fit for the purpose you need it for.
All these silly fanboy wars are childish.
Yet another CP/M-65 port for the KIM-1, this time using Corsham's SD Shield as a floppy emulator.

RC2040 - Retro emulated Z80 CP/M computer kit
The RC2040 is a PI PICO emulated RC2014 kit, with CP/M-80. It is capable of running the stock ROM images currently supported by the RC2014 (except RomWBW) which gives you a number of monitors and ROM based BASIC.

So, you have a KIM-1 Clone running BASIC, a whopping 49k of RAM free, and want to compute like it's 1976.
You only have 1200 bps terminal and no graphics, but quite a lot of free RAM. One idea is you can spend a kinda ridiculous amount of time writing a Mars Colony simulator game on it.
