Hello all. I am Info Guru, the preacher of peace in the land of packet sniffers. I raise awareness about the fundamentals of web etiquette, dismantle surveillance myths, and guide others in reclaiming their data. Lesson #3-M: Promo Codes
Did you know that there are not as many websites that offer promo codes anymore?
While there are some sites that offer codes and coupons for their own products, majority of the sites that do offer promo codes only attach tracking cookies instead. Better to subscribe to the place you are trying to shop from versus take a chance with a third-party website that you know little about.

Lesson #1-M: DEA (Disposable Email Addressing
Did you know that there are email services out there that provides you with no-commitment email addresses?
This means anyone can sign up for various programs without fear of having their information passed around to potentially malicious parties.
While it is good practice to gatekeep personal info, it does hurt smaller business who rely on subscriber lists to advertise their product and services, so use DEAs wisely.
