Lastly, thank you to everyone who’s encouraged me and said nice things about the photos. It’s such an incredible privilege to share with, theoretically, thousands of people. What a beautiful planet we have.

A colour photograph showing a smal section of boat hull under refit. The composition transitions vertically from rust to blue with a worn strip of white separating. A darker monolithic shape passes through the centre of the frame, darkened by being recessed.

Another little visitor popped up this morning. Feeling very lucky we are able to observe them from our living room windows. #watervoles #ukrivers #boatlife #WildlifeConservation

The hunger for power is utterly destructive. Lost and destroyed lives, cultures and communities. #War #genocide #famine #humanrights

Just love the colours and textures on this tree branch. Small pleasures on a grey day. Lack knowledge, but appreciate beauty!

New resident on our mooring popped up for some greens! So glad we decided to keep to natural methods to stabilise our bank. Nature is just awesome, I absolutely love observing and learning. #watervole #ukrivers #boatlife

Nature soothes my mind and soul. A gentle reminder to myself that Rome was not built in a day, it’s ok to take it step by step. #restday #tomorrowisanotherday #workcanwait

You have always been fit and very healthy. After just turning 12 we are suddenly providing palliative care. You are my best friend, our walking buddy, explorer and boaty dog. We can manage the symptoms the best we can but not the tumour in your skull. We won’t let you suffer our beautiful and charming boy 💔 #friendforlife #doodlelove #boatdog #unconditionallove

I don’t need a card, expensive meal out, flowers or chocolate. I know I’m loved. My morning coffee in bed is always on time, he makes sure there is hot water to shower, he respects my silence after a long day at work and he doesn’t mind warming my cold feet in bed. Nearly 30 years of marriage and we are content in love, friendship and companionship. I don’t need a specific day or commercial hype as a reminder. #love #valentine

Doing nothing, rushing nowhere, planning noting is not a waste of time. It is a necessity to slow down, breathe and be in the moment. While I sip my warm coffee, I hear the birds chirping away and see the colours change in the room as the sun peaks through the porthole. #SelfCare #littlethings #slowdown

Redundancy has meant a roll reversal. I work and he looks after boaty, garden, cook meals and walk dog. He is doing brilliantly, what an eye opener after 30 years of marriage and raising children. It feels comfortable, as if we understand each other so much better.

@CloudsGoBy can really relate!

@Whiskeyomega it is hard work, but worth it. Having less has cultivated appreciation and gratitude for little things, especially in nature.
