The AviList Core Team spent 4 years creating the definitive bird checklist. I created the R package this weekend to make it more usable for direct data analysis, so you can bypass Excel (if you want to 😉).

📦 I’m excited to share a new #rstats package I’ve been working on: {shinyfa} built to help folks working on large or unfamiliar #rshiny apps ✨
The package scans your app folders and extracts out details on render*(), reactive() and input$ to a dataframe!
💡 Useful for onboarding, audits, or just getting oriented as a new project member!

It’s hanging by a chain, but held in the right position with visible duct tape. Not elegant, but effective.
Reminds me of data consulting a bit, often it’s about thoughtful, functional fixes that respect the context and get the job done 💪 #rstats

Bianual reminder #rstats: "CRAN submission will be offline from Dec 23, 2024 to Jan 07, 2025 (CRAN team vacation and maintenance work). "
This year the CRAN team takes 2 days less of vacations than last year. So I think it is also a good day to appreciate all the efforts of the volunteers maintaining it. Thanks!
