I found my car battery had died, parked in a somewhat rough part of town. I stood beside it with jumper cables in my hand, and tried to catch the eye of folks passing by in their cars. Most wouldn't look at me.

Then a fellow in a van stopped and said, "Need a jump?"... and he helped me out.

I thanked him and offered him a few bucks afterwards. He said, "No way, buddy — just pay it forward!"

That was 35 years ago.

I still remember him. ❤️

There was something about art, ideas and kind of "self-expression" recently I came across. I wrote it as reply but wanted to repeat it here. :3

So if you are unsure about your creations (art, software, anything) because something was created before, don't stop because of that.

If everyone did that, there would be no art, no inventions, no progress and no you in this world. Billions came before you and will come after you. And everyone leaves a little something in this world. 🦊

I only meant, considering what you said, that it's fortunate that it will happen organically. People will go to where their needs are being met, which does make it easier for changemakers to direct energies, as it's ineffective to try to change the current system rather than build anew, isn't it?

@JoBlakely You're right, not everyone is interested in leading it. It takes a ton of sacrifice and resilience.

That said, when I release the MVP it gives people jobs out of their own homes and local Makerspaces working cooperatively internationally, so thinking I just need to be more patient for something to grow from so small to so big. Once it helps a few people, the doubt will go away

The way to put power back in the hands of the people is to take over the means of production. Villej is doing that.

We can federate it through the hyperminiaturization of manufacturing and automated cooperation that incentivizes using these systems over traditional capitalist companies in an organic way, while meeting the needs of those who need it most and are systemically disabled under capitalism.

@jakewinter Of course! We have a ko-fi at https://ko-fi.com/thevillej, the funds of which will go towards kick-starting the hyperminiaturization and hyperlocalization of manufacturing while giving #neurodivergent people well paid jobs working from home or out of Makerspaces.

The revenue from that goes to support a vast cooperative problem-solving network and collaboration engine technologies. Our wholesale/manufacturing and public marketplaces are approaching launch. :)
