@PeaEyeEnnKay I like that as a word. I usually think of it as queer temporality, but there is definitely a need for a one-word term as well :)

In light of Christine McVie's passing, its a good day to appreciate again the intensity & sheer ludicrousness of Fleetwood Mac performing The Chain live in concert in 1982. Watch and learn kids, and don't shag your bandmates (or do, because you'll make the best music and performances on the back of your pain).

The idea of “collective intelligence” is not new, and has been applied to such disparate phenomena as decision making by consensus and hived insects. 🐝 Collective wisdom goes further. We explore how this Friday for our next Lunchtime Talk!

@Saku also Stephen Duncome's Cultural Resistance Reader, Mark Fisher's Capitalist Realism, and Laura Grace Ford's Savage Messiah, which is a collection of her zines which explore the radical past of London and its gentrification leading up to the Olympic Games in 2012.

@Saku Diego Garcia by Luke Williams and Natasha Soobramanien just won the Goldsmiths Prize - it is a novel which explores in part the forced exile of the Chagossian people in the 1960s when it was sold off to the US govt, who are now seeking reparation and repatriation.

@adam_y it doesn't sound like a review, but even if it did, all reviews are appreciated when you're starting out. I like the fact you like the rhythm, it's something I work hard on. I recorded myself reading this piece out once I had finished it then replayed it, going back and changing anything that sounded off.

I liked the poetry in yours too. You are very bold with it and it pays off.

@timmassey your new venture sounds really interesting, I'll keep my eye out

@adam_y bloody hell, thank you, that's high praise indeed 🙌

Here's an essay on cursed towns, change and heritage.

Are you the place you are from?

It contains witches and launderettes.

@adam_y I love this! It has very similar vibes to my own haunted homage to my home city Bristol - you might like it mironline.org/cnf_roman_road/ It has corpse roads, culverted rivers and a ghost stuck over the other side of a motorway.

Not so much an introduction as a call into the void for help finding the best places to stumble across my people. Hit me up with what accounts a #Bristol #lefty #neurodivergent #writer of #creativenonfiction, #musicwriter, #literature #reading, fresh idea loving, #food eating, #intersectional #feminist 40-something eyeroller extraordinaire should be following.
