Well some good news for once - my drivers licence came back fully updated to male and a photo that actually looks like me. I'd not bothered to get it updated, but with recent events with the government I decided now was the time. So, I now have full legal recognition as male.

I'm not comfortable marking these milestones as it can make me dysphoric funnily enough. But I'm glad I've actually finished off all the paperwork that comes with being trans.

Guess I'm now moving onto the next stage of being trans in the UK - fighting to retain my legal recognition as male.

Today, my final NCFE came thru! I can finally stop studying, and also have something to put on my CV alongside my work experience ☺️😀

I've also got what's being called a 'pre screening interview' with the Newcastle United Foundation next week for a full-time job. Jobs with the club/foundation are very competitive, so even getting to this stage is an achievement really. Fingers crossed the fact I already work for the club helps, and I actually get somewhere this time round

@vikki literally! People do not seem to understand that fascism will come for us all - Farage wants to get rid of the Equality Act, which will cover pretty much everyone at some stage of life.. like if that goes we're all fucked.. but people are voting for him anyway?

Just leaving and moving abroad isn't as simple as people make out, especially when you're low income or have disabilities (like I do). But staying feels like betraying myself and just freely handing over my rights. I hope you're able to live somewhere safer though 🫂

Took myself down the coast today for some self care.

I've started very seriously thinking about where I'd be happy to live in the future and how I'm going to handle the ongoing attacks on trans rights in the UK. I really want to remain in the UK, with my first choice being north east England, followed by Scotland.

Failing this, I may consider the Channel Islands, with a *very* last resort being ROI.

I'm also going to look into eventually becoming an Irish citizen (thru ancestry) and eventually have dual UK and Irish citizenship.

Life's hard and scary right now. And I think it might be for years to come.

I also applied to update my provisional drivers licence to male. Last time it came back with the right name, but as female, due to DVLA incompetency. Let's hope it's 2nd time lucky🤞
