I am very confused about how the non-comedy movie industry of the future will treat the Trump era. If a future Oliver Stone did "Trump", or a future Ron Howard did "Hannity/Trump", where would it go? How would you make it believable?
I was thinking you could do a Deep State type thing, with Trump just very much in the background in soundbites, but even that would end up looking like a Laurel and Hardy, or Wacky Races type thing, with slapstick villains drowning in their own incompetence.
