As a Norwegian Single mom with disabilities it is safe to say (maby not 100% safe) that I am defeated by the big sharks once again, for almost two decades trying to fight the impossible online, without AI4G, more like AI4BAD, the ones who has been fetching my Ripe database account, ICANN account, my enterprise Microsoft account, the domains I collected, the patents I was supposed to deliver, fetched and high jacked. Now I am closing down my organisation as a result from this. #anticompetition

Last year European Parliament and national parliaments rejected the “EU child porn scanner” that was set to be installed on every phone. Apparently this week we’re going to ignore all that parliamentary action and mandate such a scanner once more. Thinking about that time Google more or less prompted me to install this app called admiral (general?), and it was all about flying military drama, I do love maps though, but admiral did get some benefit which I did not read since the writing was so small and I’m almost blind

There is this phone seller that keeps calling, first time he called he somehow knew what I had been reading up on and said “you that are so obsessed with cybersecurity should try our app” he sent me a link which I did not open, and every time he calls it’s about the app. Last time he took notes, the terms ”data protection officers (dpo)“ he did not know. He is gonna call me back in some days, and I have a feeling he’s one of those uncertified Cookie stealing Monsters, what to do

I closed a bank account, and contacted their DPO to know what data they are retaining about me.
After several emails back and forth, they are still unwilling to tell me how long they'll retain my data for, and which laws allow them to do so.
Any #GDPR expert has similar experiences? #dataretention

I'm excited to see what iOS 18 provides in terms of AI. For years, Apple has promised AI-driven features that have all turned out to range from slightly useful to bitterly disappointing. Siri watch face, music suggestions in the widget, app suggestions, auto correct improvements, widget order on Apple Watch, and more are all pretty bad. I look forward to seeing what happens when real LLMs and the other improvements Apple must be planning come along, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
