The best way to keep customers is by making it easy to leave. It builds trust. The problem ppl are solving is "I don't want to lose connections when Twitter collapses." The solution is to convince us that Twitter isn't collapsing. Desperate policies like this do the opposite.

New rule of thumb: If you find yourself talking like a pirate when reporting your #chi2023 first-round reviews---A, ARR, RR, etc---it's probably good news.
OK - #chi2023 notifications, with reviews, are going out to contact authors. PCS will also show these details in a few days. Of 3182 submissions, 234 (7.4%) were withdrawn or quick rejected. 1530 (48.1%) received R&R. 1384 (43.5%) did not meet the threshold for entering round 2.
