@cvvhrn
Gutted that the only time I've seen one of these in the air was about 6 months before I bought my first SLR- occasionally, I was ablecto blag one off a friend, but no one would let me take one to Paris for a long weekend for the '91 air show!
Mind you, I still wouldn't have bagged a pic of it flying, as its display was cancelled at the last minute the day I went to Le Bourget, instead I saw it from the road around T1 at CDG/LFPG!

@derek The one I'm using is €8-ish, plus I'm paying a bit extra for backups.
Just looked it up - CPX21, €8.46 - with backups and UK VAT, it's just north of €11.
Good luck!

It wouldn't be so much adding *new* moderators as just ADDING moderators.
.social is probably the biggest single mod instance...

@derek
@malwaretech
I'm paying €11 a month for a VPS with hetzner.de, then used 1 line of code to install yunohost, after which you don't need any coding abilities!
Dead easy, dead quick, and works almost flawlessly.
Depending on where you get a domain name from, your DNS settings might need adjusting, but there are loads of guides on how to do this.

I have a feeling at least some of them are bots, in which case they are generally ecpected to explain that they are.

Okay, that took too long to figure out, and resulted in a rather embarrassing story for another time, but I finally figured out how to import photos from a Piwigo gallery into WP in mobile (mobile browsers default to http:// rather than https:// , so copying URL's just didplay text links rather than images and text description - it's complicated!)
But here's today's post, on the site.

Also, note to self, start filling out the profiles on the new server ASAP!

@HelensPhotos
Across my various accounts here, I have been getting loads of follows from blank profiles - no posts, no boosts, no hashtags, no avatars or headers, nothing.
Generally, unless they start liking and interacting with my posts on a regular basis, I'm never going to see them ever again, and even if they were the most interesting account in the universe, I would never know they were there.
Please, give us something, anything, as a reason to follow back.

2022-11-20

Because of time constraints, there won't be the usual set of Photo of the Day posts today, instead it will appear at some point on the site, and I'll boost it from there.
Unfortunately, my Lottery numbers keep refusing to come up, so I have to work for a living, and after spending all morning configuring the new Masto server, there just wasn't time for anything else.
On the bus to work now, back in about 12 hours time...

2022-11-20

Just got a follow notification pop up in my feed, and thought "That site URL looks familiar", then realised it's a follow request I made from the admin account on my new Masto instance last night!
And I felt all warm and fuzzy...😎
Right, now to set up the other accounts on there...😀
