You won’t hear this on the news but Scotland and other countries have declared their economy will be based on wellbeing, not GDP.

And They’re not alone.
Countries worldwide are making the same shift.

But here’s the thing: people aren’t waiting for governments.

EThey’re building wellbeing economies themselves through cooperatives, people’s assemblies, and businesses that put purpose over profit.

@Jeroen89 @cdarwin so confidently and completely incorrect. Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales are indeed countries, with independent National Assemblies, and have been since the twenties. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Countrie

@chilort @dan I really wish they’d put the C30 polestar into production, that was shown off in this blue, and would have left the Focus RS for dead. This generation’s look great

@dan oh my word. I thought I was ready, looking at the nose. I was not ready. What the hell has happened to that poor thing?!

@vwdasher the turbo version was one of the first cars I drove in the road, and it was terrifying. It went like stink, but didn’t stop, and handled like a bag of custard. Absolutely no point in having that much power of the only thing you can do with it is go directly to hedge, do not pass road

“In 2017, ‘a confidential doc is leaked that reveals Facebook offering advertisers the opportunity to target 13-to-17yos across platforms during moments of psychological vulnerability when they feel ‘worthless,’ ‘insecure,’ ‘stressed,’ ‘defeated,’ ‘anxious,’ ‘stupid,’ ‘useless’ & ‘like a failure.’ Or target them when worried about their bodies & thinking of losing weight.’

For anyone in England struggling to pay for food, or if you know of anyone send them here.

I got three bags of shopping for £8.50. They're not everywhere but are expanding. So I recommend checking back if they aren't currently in your area. They also do a single bag for £5 or a family shop of 6 bags for £17.

This is what I got for £8.50!

Side note. I fkn love caramac bars so that was a nice surprise!

I like weird music, ambient, rock, metal, hip-hop, jungle, soul, funk, punk, bluegrass, good music of whatever genre really, so marks for eclectic programming and lack of talking

Anyone got any interesting suggestions for #internetradio? I listen to Radio Fip a lot, and love the eclectic mix of music, and the lack of talking, but I’d like to know what else is out there.

#discworld audiobooks, the complete series - archive.org/details/discworld- I’m pretty sure that this should be required reading (or listening) for almost everyone. They are the basis for my moral/ethical education, more so than anything I learnt in formal education. You are missed #terrypratchett
