Everyone is trying to figure out the #Microsoft #Xbox strategy moving forward. I haven't seen anyone make the comparison to #MSX which I think will be the most likely analogy.

MSX, MSX2, MSX2+ and MSX(3/TurboR) were basically a guiding baseline for game compatibility on computers. It's basically what Steam is setting up with it's Deck Verified system, and makes sense as a move for XBOX to transition out of hardware and into software that runs on a more personalized system.

Is this new? I installed #Windows11 in a VM and didn't have to jump through any hoops to create a local account. I got to where it asked for an email clicked a blue link for other options and it asked if I wanted to create a local account.

I thought they got rid of that but it's definitely there.

What's a good low cost low power SBC to run a small LLM model? I'm thinking maybe an RK3399 board or something similar. Ultimate goal is building a simple voice assistant that runs at least _mostly_ locally for home assistant tasks.

4 days later I have a working mini split heat pump. It was a pain in the butt, but it saved me ~$8k doing it myself.

Mini Split Day 3: Feeling more optimistic. Just need to connect the lines and hook the vacuum up. Hanging the unit was a pain in the butt, but not near as bad as drilling through brick.
