Trying for on

Very cool for people with no drawing experience like me getting started with

Of course inspired by Bob Ross

shot of the night sky with lot of stars and some interstellar dust. Two prominent galaxies in the middle with containing little red regions representing ionized hydrogen

@kingtor yes this nebula appears very big in the sky with an apparent size of 150x150 arc minutes.
For comparison the moon has an apparent size of 30 arc minutes (it could fit in the very center of the heart nebula)

This image however is slightly cropped in, so I don't use the full sensor size

Heart nebula shot with Fuji X-T5 and Samyang 135mm lens.
Over 14h exposure time.

An interstellar gas cloud in the shape of a heart. It consists mainly out of hydrogen and oxygen, which signals are colored in red/orange (hydrogen) and blue/green (oxygen)

My girlfriend and I got super lucky as we got a tiny window of cloudless sky to shoot C/2023 A3 (and Messier 5 in the upper left corner)

Got another cloudless night to shoot M45, also known as Pleiades.

Shot with Samyang 135mm lens and Fuji X-T5.

@AstroMuseumSon Wird es von dem Vortrag eine Aufzeichnung geben und veröffentlicht? Wäre echt super!

@jdlbt Thank you very much for taking the time to answer my question!

The videos helped as we think we understand now what our problem was.
If we get it working we make sure to upload our result to Telescopius, however your image is way nicer 😄

CS for your next projects!

@jdlbt Wow this is a really beautiful image!
May I ask how you managed to blend in the Ha data so nicely?
We are working on M31 as well right now but we really struggle to combine Ha with RGB.
We tried go get the Ha regions only by subtracting the red channel from Ha, but then we have artefacts around stars. But removing stars beforehand removes some Ha areas..

A rough hint in the right direction would be awesome!

@jdlbt
Thank you for your kind words!

We indeed spend two nights on this target.
As our equipment is very small we gladly didn’t have to make a meridian flip.

@jdlbt Fuji is a little special in this regard as they filter a little bit less IR in the Ha line in comparison to other manufacturers.
A modified or dedicated astro camera is obviously way better, maybe some day..

@Siril_Official will Bayer drizzle also work with Fujis X-Trans sensors?

@stroughtonsmith @altstore
Will there still be a version of altstore capable of managing apps completely without Apple? (So no notarization)
Helpful fot running own apps or compiling public code
