@rgordon I usually use Final Surge since that's where all my plans are stored, but I can upload down to Garmin Connect and transfer to watch. I can also put training plans up on Stryd, but those are mostly key workouts and not whole plans. Critical power pretty much takes your BEST efforts at various workout durations (10 seconds/1 minute/10 minutes/30 minutes/60 minutes) over a 90 day period, with most recent 30 days more heavily weighted over days 31-60 which are more weighted than days 61-90.

@rgordon Just saw this! I use it exactly the same, including the zone vibration alerts on some runs that I want to pay attention to power. I find it most useful in hilly terrains or windy days as you mentioned. Its similar to HR of course, but power keeps the effort much more even since it picks up your effort changes instantly (where HR does not)

@datacequia Agreeing with much that has been said here. The 220-age formula is not the best to go with. I would do a max HR test run, which you can easily find with an online search or a bunch of hill repeats. Also take into account how you're measuring your HR. A chest strap will be more accurate than an arm strap which will be more accurate than a good wrist watch which will be more accurate than a bad watch. Finally when setting zones...to build endurance zone 2 would be closer to 60-75% HRM
