Um das klarzustellen: EINE EINZIGE Milliardärsfamilie verkackt es versehentlich (!), die Erbschaftssteuer zu dodgen und verursacht dadurch Steuereinnahmen, die die gescheiterte BUNDESWEITE Kindergrundsicherung zu 166% abgedeckt hätten. Imagine, man würde alle Superreichen konsequent fair besteuern.

@castropodcasts I’m experiencing issues with Castro lately. (iOS 18.5)
Often but not always when Castro stops playback because I talked to Siri via AirPods it does not resume. Sometimes I have to kill the app and restart it to continue playback, because the interface is frozen. Also sometimes when I get called Castro does not stop playback, but continues lower volume while on the phone / on FaceTime.
Is that an iOS issue or a Castro issue?

My kid just WhatsApped from his German exchange trip. They had to call an ambulance for him.

He has food poisoning, was very pale and nauseous. He was dehydrated and his blood pressure was dropping.

He's fine now but I wanted to share this because it has the most Western Europe Is a Civilized Place ending ever.

The paramedics came to the mall, took him into the ambulance, gave him an IV, checked him out, stayed with him until he felt better, then told him "No charge. Enjoy your trip to Germany." And if that wasn't enough, when they realized the group had had to move onto the train station without him, they gave him a ride over there to catch up with them.

I'm so ground down by the predatory realities of America in general in 2025 that this just about blew my fucking mind.

Auf die Straße für ein AFD-Verbot! Sonntag, 15 Uhr Roßmarkt
Der Bundesverfassungsschutz hat die AFD jetzt als gesichert Rechtsextrem eingestuft. Das ist absolut nicht überraschend, die AFD hat in den letzten Jahren schließlich oft genug klar gemacht wie wenig sie von Demokratie und Menschenrechten halten. Aber diese Einstufung gibt uns als demokratische Zivilgesellschaft jetzt neue Möglichkeiten: denn die über 1.000 Seiten Belege der Bundesverfassungsberichts könnten jetzt für ein AFD-Verbotsverfahren benutzt werden. Und spätestens jetzt ist es die Pflicht von allen Demokrat*innen sich für genau so ein Verbot einzusetzen und zu verhindern, dass die AFD mit ihrem Geld und ihren Organisationsstrukturen weiter gegen Menschen hetzten und demokratiefeindliche Propaganda verbreiten kann! Und weil wir einem Friedrich Merz, der erst vor kurzem mit der AFD zusammengearbeitet hat, dabei absolut nicht vertrauen können, braucht es unseren Druck von der Straße! Deshalb versammeln wir uns am Sonntag um 15 Uhr am Roßmarkt und demonstrieren für ein AFD-Verbot! Lasst uns zusammen laut sein und den Rechtsextremen den Riegel vorschieben!
