For the DB gurus: Is it wise to model a playlist in a SQLite database as a linked list? I don’t want to have to mutate all entries when, for example, I just want to change the order of items.

But I also feel that recursively fetching the items to follow the list could impact performance for playlists with a lot of items.

Wie bekommt jemand, der nie in der Wirtschaft gearbeitet hat, eine solche Position?

Losing the Star Trek license was certainly a big blow against Blue Brixx. I personally filled my basement with some of the last Star Trek bricks I could get.

But now Blue Brixx is back and this time with the Battlestar Galactica license, baby ❤️💪😅

@frankreiff @dasdom Got plenty of AppKit and Objc-C experience. But also got big corp experience.
Apple is that company that prouds itself to not ship at all, if its not good enough. In this case they decided its how they want it.

Believing that they „had“ to do this because the UI Framework is not able to do it, is very naive. Then rather not rewrite it at all.

They just want to the same look across all platforms. Everything else is a implementation detail no one cares (and should)

@frankreiff @dasdom I totally disagree with this sentiment. They rewrote it to get this new design, and they just used SwiftUI for it. Anyway, why should they rewrite something in a new framework, so it just looks the same after it? That’s meaningless work without value.

The new macOS app icons also look like they do on the iPad. Is it also SwiftUI's fault? Can people stop blaming a stupid UI framework for cultural and organizational decisions?

@dasdom @GaryAsh I'm pretty sure there is a internal HIG that mandates how Preferences should look now and they just designed according to it and implemented it. That’s how big corps work. 🤷
