An extremely underrated advantage of Electron and similar projects is that you automatically get browser-quality text rendering/layout/input, in every application.
Correctly rendering text is an impossible task, but of all the software that tries to do it, browsers are the least bad at it, certainly better than any native framework β especially immature ones.
βWe're going to avoid the bloat and use this up-and-coming Rust UI framework to make a performant native app insteadβ sounds great on paper, and the resulting app might seem fine if everyone in your dev team only speaks English. But then an Arabic speaker wants to use your app, and you're screwed because the framework doesn't support RTL text. Whereas with Electron you'll have to change a bit of CSS at most.
