@luc For this server, I am using #duplicity (wrapped in #duply). Originally, it used #restic, but the pruning ended up using too much RAM (but restic has improved this, and I've upgraded from a 4GB system to 32GB since then, so maybe I'll switch back to restic or #borgbackup sometime soon, since I found out that duplicity does not back up ACLs...).

I'm also still using restic (with a custom script) for my laptop backups, and borg (with borgmatic) for some other servers/raspberry pis.

My #backup routine just saved me.

I unintentionally deleted 2 months/300GB worth of source video files that I thought I had already moved off my laptop and onto my storage server.

My routine:
bvckup2.com app $50 several years ago syncs laptop to network every 3 hours and keeps deleted files in an archive folder for 1 month.

Then weekly offsite backup via Borg (borgbackup.org) which gives 5 months of deduplicated backups (15TB into 1.2TB on disk)

Trying to update my Borg Backup 1.24-1 on Debian Bookworm to fix the archive spoofing vulnerability, but I am getting: "borg: error: unrecognized arguments: --check-tam".

Has someone had the same error?

Bon, petit retour sur mes déboires avec #borgbackup
J'ai pas trouvé d'où vient le problème. En local de disque à disque -> plantage au bout d'un long moment.
En push client vers NAS -> pareil avec déco ssh, peut importe le disque d'origine.
En pull du client vers le NAS -> ça a marché.

@Tom23 Même si j'aime bien #BorgBackup éventuellement accompagné de #BorgMatic (https://torsion.org/borgmatic/) je peux conseiller de regarder #Restic (https://restic.net).

I use #borgbackup scripts with borgbase.com. Tested many times, and I can even mount the remote repositories to pick files from the past.
