Broke out the calipers for a quick bit of #FreeCADFriday action. Modelled a replacement plastic part for the @DoESLiverpool events room door handle. It's now printing on the 3D printer.

The temporary old-bike-inner-tube replacement that @huffeec and I installed at the weekend is working surprisingly well, but doesn't look quite as nice 🤣

On the right is the shiny chrome of the proper handle.

On the left there's a black plastic disc with four screws holding it to the door. The centre of the disc is a jagged hole where the handle has broken the plastic. As a workaround, there's now a section of bike inner tube clamped between the disc and the door to fashion an alternative handle

We'll gloss over the chipped paintwork no the edge of the right-hand door, where an assortment of folk haven't been careful enough while carrying things through the doorway over the years.

En ce moment, je reprends l’habitude d’écrire sur mon vieux #blog plutôt que sur les réseaux sociaux, et c’est très chouette.

J’essaie de publier au moins une note par semaine pour garder une trace de ce que j’ai trouvé cool côté lecture, musique, jardin, etc. 🌿 Ça faisait longtemps que ce format me faisait envie, et je m’autorise enfin à me l’approprier.

I see other people doing these blog posts with regards to #WeekNotes and I too have thought about doing them. However, my issue is, each would just be work, eat and sleep.

I don't do enough things, go outside of my house often or anything similar to write a blog post each week of what I do. I feel y'all would get bored super quick.
