Viewing a reflection at the lake’s edge, we see a line of pine trees at the bottom of the image. The ‘sky’ consists of reeds bent over by winter, and sprouting from dark soil and water at the image’s top. In the middle, blue and white sky reflections merge with the shallow water of the bank, suspending as an ominous threat to the green of the trees below.
