I was brought up in a dictatorship by a self-preserving pack of forest poodlums hiding in the woods. I left that country to feel the joy of being free and drawing the dogs of the free world.
Exploring the Fediverse and leaving all that Meta and Twitter stuff behind feels like becoming digitally free too.
I like poodles, drawing and learning new things.
I've read many toots about how to #degoogle and #unplugtrump. It's difficult for me. Getting my drawing tablet to work under Linux took some time. The touch ring and the center button still don't work and the device is only recognized as a drawing tablet via USB. I could pair it via BT, but it was "not detected".
On the plus side, I tried Krita. I love learning new apps. I haven't learned all the hotkeys yet, but it was fun to try.
I guess it's laundry day ...
At least she always goes for a pair of identical socks !

I was harassed on the street. It took ten months, for this to happen for the first time in Pineland. Before I left, it had been happening to me every two weeks in the country I was born, and women have been harassed on the streets or public transportation even more often.

1️⃣ Yesterday I was walking my dog when a man with a gray beard came up to me and started talking. He said something about a lab and blood, but I didn't get it.
"Are you looking for the medical center?" I asked, because the people here are very nice, and it is common to ask for directions.
"No!" he shouted, pointing dramatically at me, "You! You were made in a lab! You have animal blood on your hand!" He stared at his hands with a look of horror, as if they were stained with blood. ↪️

I'm not sure what to call this. Miniature street art I guess, so ...
It feels like a bit of a positive step back in time. I like progress, but I loved MSN Messenger more than Meta #messenger .
I also trusted #Google more when their motto was 'Don't be evil' and it made me think when they dropped that.
But I'm #optimistic I think decentralised social networks will gradually become more popular as people get tired of being manipluated with algorithm-aggregated feeds.
Anyway, I'm happy to be here and curious to explore the #fediverse .
