In Alaska, nature sculpted this lone tree into a frozen wave at sunrise.
Relentless wind, drifting snow, and rime ice stacked layer by layer until the branches looked like feathers made of frost.
That soft golden glow is the sun catching every icy strand, turning the whole scene into a winter sculpture for a few brief moments.
Bent by the storm, but still standing. Still reaching.

@dreddie It's not about actually doing MRs it's about the possibility and being able to check the code or at least refer to it. It's about trust. It's about having an escape hatch. Having something sustainable.

@cameron_bosch thing is, with Firefox you can get involved to change that (e.g. Zen), with closed source it's impossible.

@maltimore well, the chromium bits they might use (surely without patches) are technically open source

I find this kind of panic amusing. So far Firefox has some local AI features, all can be disabled, but sure let's move to a closed source alternative.

“Computer Says No” is an invitation to question systems and demand conditions for more equitable technologies. The aim is to connect, create impulses and establish opportunities for self-empowerment and protest.

Nachdem bereits die Menschenrechtler abgewiesen wurden, hat #Dobrindt nun also auch die bereits erfolgten Aufnahmezusagen für die afghanischen Ortskräfte & ihre Familien gestrichen, die für Deutschland ihr Leben riskiert hatten.

Diese infame Politik ist so unmenschlich wie unfassbar dumm, denn für billigen Populismus sendet diese Regierung damit allen wichtigen potenziellen Verbündeten in Konflikt- & Krisensituationen die Nachricht, dass man D nicht vertrauen kann.

Still a lot work to do, but for the first time, we got completely integrated CI testing of kernels running... on a phone! For what I know, this is a first for a non-multi-million-euro-company in the FOSS world!! Can't be more proud of it and all the people that helped during this journey.

There's still a long road ahead, but in the future we might be able to automate kernel upgrades with a lot less manual testing, and continue working the "reliability" goal we presented in https://postmarketos.org/blog/2025/03/30/pmOS-year-priorities/
