Two years, folks. Two long years. It started with an inch. Just one measly inch of lawn grass, daring to invade my garden border. I responded, as any sane gardener would, with overwhelming force. Three inches back. Every. Single. Time.

We all start somewhere on our gardening journey. Four years ago, I proudly planted a lilac. Today, I realized it wasn't the best choice for my local ecosystem. Call it a learning moment!
So, I made a change. The lilac is out, and a wonderful native chokeberry is in its place. It might be small now, but I have big dreams of a future where a flock of Cedar Waxwings will visit to enjoy its berries.

@redcrew they had a potting event in the West side of Cleveland last week could not make it due to work.
I am happy to send you seeds if needed later this fall. The germination rate is very high. I went to summit county metro parks annual native plant sale event a few weeks back none of the vendors had this flower.

@redcrew unfortunately no. I had a similar issue issue last year. I take these plants as gifts when visiting friends/ relatives. Most of them don't care.

@redcrew @redcrew I posted for free plants for my local gardening group. These were the plants I was giving away .. spotted bee balm, royal catchfly mountain mints, multiple varieties of asters, wild petunia and so on. Received a 0 response in 2 weeks. Finished squeezing all spotted bee balms in my small home garden today. Not sure what I will do with the remaining royal catchfly... Absolutely don't want to dump them. Not worried about the other ones .
