My comment in @NewScientist about an algorithm that claimed to give a huge speedup in factoring integers on quantum computers, supposedly to break strong encryption soon. I'm impressed. But I'd advise caution: it isn't clear how it would scale. However, companies must increase the pace of their quantum risk assessment preparedness. Like, do it in 2023, 2024 the latest. And better engage some smart people that can handle it. Sometimes it's a horror.
