An old M28 series locomotive, first produced in 1955 by the Hungarian Wagon and Machine Works in Győr. Mostly they serviced industrial railways, moving loads and freight.

This one worked at a now abandoned thermal power plant in Hungary. Now it sits silent and forgotten inside an old rail shed.

Of course DB messed up and the wagon numbers are all different, but they did reserve another seat for me, usually they make my reservation go to waste . My seat is in a loud wagon though. Luckily it is just a short ride today.

Il est temps de supprimer partout cette hérésie qu’est la première classe. On pourrait la remplacer par des wagons calmes pour celleux qui veulent bosser, mais ça suffit d’avoir tout cet espace perdu pour permettre à quelques bourgeois·es d’avoir plus de place.

Friday again, and I can almost begin the countdown to my first day of retirement. But first, the usual commute in to work, and at least we have a train today. Yesterday it disappeared and we had to catch the RE half an hour later. Not a good start in the day when you have plans.

The first thing I think about retirement? Thank goodness I won't be commuting from May to July, because that's when this stretch of line is due refurbishment.
