If, as a society and as individuals, we truly respected people's informed and freely given consent, we would not have problems with data privacy at all.

If we culturally improve our consent-respecting practices, we will inevitably understand better how to improve our privacy-respecting practices.

Ask first.
Give options.
Respect people's choices.
Never share without prior permission.

EDIT while having only 4 colors is more less obvious (very expensive RAM at the time, so 2 bit color allows to save 4 pixels in 1 byte), the choice of color pallettes is much less obvious. The only answer is: they are contrasting to each other:

red-green black-white
- or -
cyan-magenta black-white

While n8n supports Ollama and local LLMs, my tests have shown that to really get into Agentic AI, OpenAI/Anthropic/Vertex AI subscription is a must. Open-weight models rarely support tools/MCP, and even when they do, they really don't fly.

Example: Llama 3.1 8B get's easily overwhelmed by amount of context and it forgets what it was told to do in the prompt. Llama 3.2 3B is too small, and Llama 3.3 70B too slow (on my PC).Mistral Nemo works sorts of OK,and Gemma3 doesn't support MCP at all

I know many of you have your #homeLab and if you do, you probably use some kind of #automation If you don't https://n8n.io is some very powerful low-code solution which is very easy to grasp and it's extra powerful. On top of that n8n allows creating AI agents based on MCP protocol (but it's a great tool even *without* AI).

@slavistapl @EUCommission criminals can still use open source encryption tools such as PGP if necessary. Even if it would be illegal to do so, there is no technical way to stop them from doing it. So this bill will hit 99.9 honest users, and criminals won't be affected anyway

@Em0nM4stodon Technical solution is similar to sending an encrypted email to multiple recipients: encrypt message with symetric key, encrypt symmetric key: once with intended recipient public key, store it. Encrypt with "lawful interception" public key, store it. Question is, who will get access to backdoor private key besides police.
And of course it defeats the purpose of encryption.
