I normally try to keep posts here about research and my phd journey, but I'm genuinely excited to be playing Magic the Gathering surrounded by amazing friends and against good people this weekend 💛
Not a bad way to spend a birthday weekend getting ever closer to 40 than 30.

My brain just gets super foggy and tired.
Back to the Doctoral Research grind after 2 weeks away.
Time to work on my 1st study paper again. I've decided to structure it from scratch, add headings, key points + findings and build the paper from there.

Confirmation came through today to say I've progressed to the third year of my PhD.
We are at the halfway mark. That is mildly terrifying.
I feel I should have done more but we march ever forward.
I also woke up to find my Kaya Foglio playmat and print of Bird Maiden had arrived!
Bird Maiden was the card that captured how important it is to see yourself in the game and it's resonated with me ever since.
I have both print + playmat which I'll frame in my office.
This is a special piece of my collection and I'll treasure it.
Very happy!

I was so happy sharing my research with friends, fellow peers and the industry. Plus catching up with folks I'd not seen in AGES and meeting new people is the best part 😁
