@ta1da @Konafets A cron job in Laravel is usually just an Artisan command.
I can highly recommend β if not already β to start writing feature tests for these commands.
You of course can also always run the command from your local command line.

@denniskoch @ta1da As someone who just got addded to a team/project that uses Docker heavily, I think it's way too complicated for Laravel (corp) to provide a "definitive" Docker Imager or configuration.
The Sail image contains npm/yarn/bun/pnpm and both MySQL and Postgres.
In production, you only would have on of each type. And I think Laravel would like to have some sort of DLS to make generating these files "nicer".
Personally I want to checkout https://serversideup.net/open-source/docker-php/ for my projects.
@ta1da What problems are you running into when deploying a Laravel app?
Have been deploying them for a decade now and never had any issue with a simple NGINX and PHP-FPM stack.
Filament v4 is coming π₯
We just released a blog post about the new features, improvements and the date of the first beta release on our website:
https://filamentphp.com/content/alexandersix-all-about-the-filament-v4-beta-release
In collaboration with @localheinz I've build a small #github #actions utility workflow.
It describes how to segment a projects phpunit overall test-suite and distribute the load over parallel running github actions jobs
After #TaylorOtwell suggested it, I'm releasing my super-charged #Laravel Seeder.
β
Seed steps wrapped into transactions
β
Continue incomplete seeding
β
Push arguments to each seed step
β
Retrocompatible with the old `run()`
... and a lot of more features.

@nharox Tunic is π₯
There is now a blog on my website! Unlike my Digital Garden which contains evolving notes, the blog features more polished, complete articles that I've spent time refining.
First article: What Software I use and where it comes from. Iβve been wanting to put together an overview for some time now, and the current global circumstances have motivated me to finally make it happen.
Is it important to consider the origin of software, or does it not really matter?
All of my packages are ready for Laravel 12 on Monday*.

@mnapoli Looking good π€©
Let us make it clear to the People - this is not cost cutting. This is destruction of American institutions built over decades, this is vandalism, this is revenge firing of skilled employees and expertise.
Real cost cutting requires planning, financial analysis, transparency, dialogue and surgical instruments, not machetes.
This is a hostile takeover of the U.S. govt. by a bunch of wealthy lunatics, who are seeking power and wealth for themselves and no one else.

Seeing all the big tech bros standing behind Trump, smiling supportively? Scary, huh?
Maybe you want to host your stuff, like your website, mail or a lot more, at a hoster that not only supports your technical freedom but also has a stable stance on discrimination and antifacism in its house rules: https://uberspace.de/en/about/houserules/
