The speech Tony Benn gave in the British Parliament debating the Iraq war. A reminder than not so long ago at least there were debates. Now starting a war is as easy as changing underwear. Our generation stopped even pretending that we are democracies. Just label someone or an entire country terrorist, fascist, putinist, ... and start a domestic or international war.

I've read EWD's Discipline of Programming, which I assume contains a lot of this but refined? I don't always agree with EWD but he was worth "arguing" with.

I use “Describe with Be My Eyes” action on iOS devices. Although I have absolutely no vision impairment, friend of mine who are blind told me that the app produces the best image descriptions for them.

Yes, I too found the HMS and DMS (Degree, Minute, Second), but I thought there is well defined scientific name.

This felt too valuable not to share. Braille-labeled maps of washrooms to help people find and use facilities in the washroom. Everyone deserves to get in, do their business, wash their hands, and get out in peace and safety.

This seems valuable for all public spaces.
