hmmm, switched my main computer from #archlinux ( https://archlinux.org/ ) to #bazzite ( https://bazzite.gg/ ) this weekend

my previous setup relied on quite a few changes to files in /etc , but this time around i'm trying to keep all customisation in my home directory

that way, the same setup will have even more alignment with my work computer which is #macOS and where i've already been trying hard to avoid touching anything outside of $HOME

i think bazzite might just be my new recommendation for folks switching to linux, with #steam ready to go out-of-the-box it just feels even friendlier than #ubuntu

Of course, #Wacom don't support their own (old) hardware anymore on modern OS's, and the software I had installed previously doesn't work either way, but this open driver is really good.

Huh. macOS tells me that libreoffice just added a Spotlight importer extension. OS-level extension, not libreoffice extension. Libreoffice wasn't running or updating, and I've had it installed for a year. Have I been pwned? I guess maybe, though going through libreoffice and notifying me is a really weird way to get at my docs. I don't even know where to start looking for a cause.

Today I realized Sequoia has an option to hide all icons "On Desktop" even when Stage Manager isn't in use.

I think I like it. Clicking the desktop still swoops all the windows out of the way (unless you turn that option off). I think this is a combination I'll enjoy. #macOS
