Fake "Acquisition Letter" purportedly from Simon & Schuster, offering an "upfront royalty fee" of $480,000-$650,000 and directing the author to "please secure the PUBLISHERS WEEKLY and Detailed outline" in order to "move forward with the acquisition. "With the help of your Acquisitions Director...we have considered the book for Traditional Publishing and then we will work on the process by February 2024 and should take 6-8 months to complete everything."
