There are a couple things you need to do before you write the fight:
Why is the fight happening?
Where is the fight happening?
What plot changes occur during the fight?
What emotions are part of the fight?
Spent 2:20 writing tonight, which is more than I'd intended, and wrote 1,188 words.
Started 2 new scenes, and came closer to finishing one of them than I'd really intended. Honestly, I could probably wrap that one up in maybe another half-hour of writing.
But I should really make myself dinner.
Got another few chapters done in editing, and also got some preliminary sketches for new Dissolution Trilogy covers! Very excited to see those develop! I should be able to share at least the first one in a few more weeks!

Hati: I have two answers here. Either Fenella or Duncan. Don’t piss that lass off. Fenella is a feisty one. And it would have to be something hard. Maybe an apple. They hurt like hell. I could imagine her lobbing it right at Alistair’s back if he said the wrong thing at the worst time. As for Duncan, he’s just a petty bastard. Who can say why he’d do it, or what he would reach for first. It depends on what’s around the room, I suppose.

30 more pages of edits done, and I am CRUISING. I even got to add in some backstory for my new Sikh character, Sepoy Arjun Mishra, inspired by the very real Lance-Dafadar Gobind Singh, who received the Victoria Cross for his gallantry at the Battle of Cambrai in 1917.

But Soren had left with his goddess to begin his training, and Amir returned to the old library and his hunt.
