I decided to redo week 47 Nature. Looking back through my pictures I realized I hadn't done any bird photography lately, and with the full feeders I had plenty of subjects to choose from. The light just hasn't been great. Today I finally caught this portrait of a female Cardinal looking my way. I am also switching to ON1 Photo raw for my editing, so I decided to play with some framing features as I learn the program. #cardinal #wildbirds #52frames_redo #feederbirds #backyardbirds #yardbirds

This was intended as a redo of the low key challenge (a week when I burned my hand) but could also be for the black and white minimalism challenge (a week when I was sick). I made many of these origami bats for Halloween and they are still on my ceiling and fireplace.
The backdrop is a photo portfolio, which seems kind of fitting for the last photo of the year. I am also a 2x Weekly Warrior with this submission! (Which means I've created 104 weekly photos!)
I'm sending lots of love and gratitude to the framers in the 52Frames discord and my mini group for their encouragement and help this year. And thanks to my partner Joe who patiently gives me advice and encouragement, especially when Photoshop frustrates me.

This is a redo of wabi sabi. It has been pouring here and the colors of the eucalyptus bark really started to pop! I didn't know what wabi sabi meant before the challenge but I think it's my preferred way of taking photos. There's a whole gallery dedicated to it on my website called "disintegrating gargoyles" - which will also be my band name ;) The "arrested decay" in Bodie, CA is another favorite of mine. And so my first year of 52Frames is now complete! I'll keep it up!
