There's been a win! Congrats to all who kept up the good fight. Now we have to keep the pressure on.

This is clearly not going to happen, but I love how it must be making people in ACT Labor squirm, which is of course the entire point of the exercise.

#actpol #canberracityconstruction I’m going to be in Dickson this afternoon, I’ll get the light rail back into the city after. Oh, wait; that’s not going to work. No trams at the moment. There’s replacement buses, which have had numerous complaints about being overloaded. Also long waits, followed by-every-bus-comes-at-once. I think I will give that a miss.

An understandable concern I think. They would likely need a lot more numbers to get enough sway to change things though and I doubt that will happen any time soon

@smitjo @HardBeingGreen I always worry about the religious right making life difficult for others (and trying to insert their beliefs into government policy). There's always been a few of those in the Libs.

#actpol #acthealth Had a call from someone in Minister Stephen-Smith’s office. Some may remember, I was moaning about not getting cups of tea when I was admitted to hospital a while back. I was told later that the tea service in the afternoons had been cancelled. It was no longer in existence. From this afternoon’s call, it has not been cancelled. They’re not quite sure why someone would say that. The good news is, the afternoon tea service at North Canberra Hospital still exists. I won’t have to organise thermoses of tea from home if I’m admitted again! ☕️☕️☕️

#ACTpol #myway+ City interchange populated by people asking, “Is this where I catch bus X?” I Went to usual bus stop. Wrong. Followed sign to correct stop. Read the information, thought I was in the wrong place, walked to different bus stop. Realised I was in the wrong place again. Went back to second bus stop. Finally correct. I got a few extra steps in though. 🚌😁😆

@troberts oh! Maybe the bridge closure could have been our opportunity to have a ferry system!

Bus, Tram, Ferry!
