@oscarjiminy

"I was recently helping a new client get set up ... And seeing it all again through fresh eyes?"
&
"If we want this thing to thrive we have to face the user experience sins head-on".

Rare skills indeed.

Stepping down from the expert-podium and engaging directly with how things are being used by humans is so difficult.

@JoePajak
Just science, without the involvement of public health, big business, high finance politicians and federal elections, was unable to deal effectively with cross contamination of research cell lines by cells back during Nixon's (see 's 1986.

The systems in place now aren't up to the task of containing Covid-19 IMO.
Which strongly suggests they'll fail on too.
Though like East Germany showed, things can change quickly.

@dderigo

That sounds worryingly similar to what is presented in the 1986 book about the mass contamination with HeLa of cell lines used in research laboratories.
An important piece of science that is much neglected.
