The AC Transit Board of Directors approved a two-phase fare adjustment, raising the local adult cash fare by 25 cents, from $2.50 to $2.75, and increasing the Transbay cash fare from $6 to $6.50, effective July 1, 2025. Cool. Every transit system should do this: "Starting on (some date I can't read) #ACTransit will start automated citations for any motorist stopping or parking in bus stops or in bus-only lanes".
It has been a few years since I've biked over the #DumbartonBridge, but I drove to Fremont yesterday, and didn't want to drive there again. A little chilly on the way back but good to get out. On the way back I cheated and rode an #ACTransit bus part of the way.
I was determined to get home for dinner but kept passing places with tempting smells--first, there's goold ol' Bronco Billy's Pizza Parlor in Niles, then past a bunch of really great (and I'm guessing cheap) taco places in Newark.
Newark, CA, is an out-of-the way corner of the SFBA that has a bit of a small-town feel.
Also, some history: I passed a historical plaque for the Carter Bros railroad car building company. They went out of business in 1902 but they built some cable cars that are still in service (with a lot of rebuilds along the way).

Am I reading the fine print right that once I paid online to "add value" onto the card, the reason I can't see if it made it onto the card is because the funds aren't actually added until I tag in?

In a sharp reversal, AC Transit has scrapped any changes to Lines 6, 51A, and 51B as they enter the “Draft Final” stage of their Realign service planning process. Ken Der highlights the updated proposed changes which were amended after many Alamedans strongly opposed the May 2024 plan proposals.
