Auf die Gefahr hin, mich bloßzustellen. 👀😱 ich habe alle Bilder auf meinem Blog von jpeg auf webp convertiert. Möchte die 1500 Beiträge nicht manuell ändern, sondern dies via Nginx erledigen. Also wenn Webp Bilder vorhanden sind, soll auf diese zurückgegriffen werden und wenn nicht auf die ursprünglichen JPEG Bilder.
WordPress ist bereitgestellt via Docker Container.
1. If you're going to #report somebody you need to give #examples of what #activity you're reporting. Just #reporting a #profile and telling an #instance #admin that an #account is being "#spammy" doesn't cut it. Not when we can clearly see the user is not.
2. Again, not a very helpful report. You report a user and say they're a #SCAM account but offer up absolutely no #evidence to support your #claim.
3. Every account was new once, including the person that reported this one. As long as #NSFW #content is properly #flagged, there's no issue. Suspecting an account to be a "scam account or worse" is not a valid #reason for reporting an account.
4. Another report without any basis or #justification.
5. Again, another baseless report about somebody with absolutely ZERO evidence to back up their claim.
So here's what's going to happen....
The instances that forwarded these #bogus #reports to me, and wasted my time, each have a strike against them.
Strike three and we tell #Sharkey to #ignore any and all reports coming from the #instance in the future.
No #admin wants #BadActors on their instances, and no admin wants a #BadActor to make someone else feel unwelcome.
But you can't just flag and report an account for any bullshit reason either.
You have to give us proof and evidence.
This is not high school and this is not middle school. If somebody is being disruptive or causing problems, let us know.
But if you just suspect someone might cause problems or they might be disruptive... wait until you have proof and evidence and then let us know!

A critical security vulnerability was fixed today in #Firefish (the software that powers nsfw.lgbt and nsfw.social). The developers are urging all instance admins to patch ASAP.

Doesn't look like the patching/ upgrade is too intense so hopefully downtime will be kept to a minimum. I'm figuring 15 minutes. Look for me to make an official announcement tomorrow with a 1 hour countdown.
It sucks with all these little interruptions but keeping systems exposed to the internet regularly patched and updated is just a fact of life.

Going to be taking nsfw.lgbt down tomorrow morning (before lunch in Atlanta) to #upgrade it to the latest #Firefish version. My business partner and I just finished upgrading our safe for work instances this afternoon and the upgrades went relatively smoothly. There were a few minor hiccups but we now know what to look out for. We learned a lot. I expect downtime to be about 30-45 minutes per server and that's mainly because once we begin I have to take the database offline and it has to stay offline until we're finished. #fediadmin #adminstuff
I think I need a dedicated, HDMI compatible remote-screen thingamabob. Something I can plug into a headless server and which has it's own IP and allows me to grab the screen contents for cases like right now where said server won't boot after surviving a thrice-in-10-seconds power failure.

Okay, den ganzen Tag damit verbracht mein kaputtes IPv6 auf dem Server zu debuggen (ICMP6 an VM geht sauber durch mit Reply, aber v6 TCP Antworten bleiben auf der #pfSense hängen (Default Deny v6 Rule). Im tcpdump sehe ich die v6 Anfrage, Antwort geht auch raus. Die pfSense blockiert dann die rausgehende Antwort, obwohl alle Regeln meinem Verständis nach es erlauben müssten. Bis zum Serverumzug (Hardware Replacement bei Hetzner) letzte Woche ging alles noch (Klassiker!)
